Objectives of the PTA
TO promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.TO raise the standards of home life.TO secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.TO bring into closer relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. TO develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantage in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education

The PTA Mission
TO support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affect ing children. TO assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation

PTA Membership
Riverside Elementary PTA encourages all parents, teachers, school officials, grandparents, community leaders and other interested individuals to join the PTA.  Our PTA is strengthened by active participation and we encourage all parents to belong to the PTA, and also to participate in all PTA sponsored activities.  Your support is essential, and our goal this year is to reach 100% membership. 

PTA Meetings & Important Dates
We invite and encourage you to attend each PTA meeting.  PTA general meetings will be announced in the Rocket Blaster.  Each meeting will feature special performances or programs presented by students.  These programs offer the parents a look at some of the special activities in which their children participate and give the students an opportunity to p erform.  A short business meeting will be held before the program.
